Social Monitor

Tracked social accounts and topics in a live feed.

X is the social tape: the accounts and topics you follow, in one live feed, so the headlines that break on X get to you at the same time as the wire.

How to use X

Command: X

Type X in the terminal to open the monitor.

Reading the feed

The window is in two parts. Recent Important Headlines sits at the top — the posts worth seeing first, held there rather than scrolling away. Time Ordered News runs underneath it, newest first, paged so the window never grows without end.

Every row carries the account that posted it and the time it ran, so the source is always on the line with the claim.

Narrowing it down

Use the search field to filter the feed down to a term. Settings controls which accounts and topics are tracked, so the feed stays the ones you actually read.
